December 1, 2015 | talktraveltome | Leave a comment Le Chat Noir Design Hotel, located at the foot of Montmartre, was the perfect spot for us to stay while exploring this arrondissement of Paris. There is so much history here, and we wanted to be a part of that history by staying in a hotel that once housed the famous “Le Chat Noir” cabaret. In fact, the hotel has embraced it’s former resident by incorporating the famous black cat into the hotels decor. While walking through the hotel we found images of the black cat that were complimented with the black and red color scheme seen throughout Le Chat Noir Design Hotel. The hotel has also dedicated each floor to famous writer or poet from that exciting period of time when cabaret was an integral part of Paris. We stayed on the 5th floor in a balcony room over looking the streets of this famous area. We could open our balcony window and see the bustling streets of Paris below. However, even though we were overlooking the busy Boulevard de Clichy, once we closed our windows we couldn’t hear any of the street noise below! View from our room! Besides paying homage to the cabaret club, the hotel is also the prefect starting spot to explore Montmartre. It’s located a stone’s throw away from the Moulin Rouge and we could easily reach our favorite spots in under twenty minutes. One thing to note is that this area of Paris is home to multiple sex shops and strip clubs. We’ve stayed in this area of Paris a number of times and never had a problem, but everyone’s comfort level is different. The hotel does have a 24/7 reception and at night they buzz guests in for extra security, which we appreciated. The staff at the front desk were also extremely helpful in making sure we had a great stay and they always greeted us with a smile. Thank you Le Chat Noir Design Hotel for hosting us during our stay. As always, our opinions are our own as we Talk Travel. Comments comments
