September 6, 2015 | talktraveltome | Leave a comment During our visit to Hangzhou, we wanted to get away from the crowds and get a feel for the beautiful area that surrounds West Lake. Shama Heda Serviced Apartments allowed us to do both during our stay to this incredible area of China. Located about 40 minutes outside of downtown Hangzhou, Shame Heda is an apartment style hotel that truly makes you feel at home. At first we thought the 40 minute commute would be a nuisance, but the hotel is just a few minute walk from the closest metro line that takes you right into the city center, making it easy to make your way into West Lake. Our apartment was complete with a kitchenette, living room, bathroom, bedroom and in-room washing machine. It was pretty much a travel bloggers dream! It had all the room we needed to be comfortable and get some work done when we weren’t out exploring the city. We kept telling ourselves that we wish we had an apartment this big back home. It was modern, designed perfectly and offered some great views of the surrounding area. In fact, we loved it so much we ended up extending our stay by one day to just lounge around the hotel. In addition to the great rooms, the staff at Shama Heda went above and beyond to make our stay comfortable. The manager, Michael, helped us plan our stay in Hangzhou and gave us great recommendations as far as what to see and where to eat. Even after we checked out of the hotel, he gave us his cell phone number in case we needed someone to translate directions to a taxi driver… which we did end up needing to do. Without the help of Michael we might not have been able to make it out of Hangzhou. Dinner is served! Staying at Shama Heda offered us the ability to get a taste of home while we have been traveling around the world, which is something we truly appreciated. From the beautiful apartment style room to overly accommodating staff, we will certainly be back to Shama Heda on our next China tour! Thank you Shama Heda for hosting us during our stay in Hangzhou As always, our opinions are our own as we Talk Travel. Comments comments
