December 28, 2015 | talktraveltome | Leave a comment When we day dream about Paris two scenarios come to mind. The first, and most obvious, being a picnic lunch by the Eiffel Tower. The second is going for a stroll by the Arc de Triomphe. Both structures are symbols of this incredible city, so when we had the opportunity to stay just 100 meters from the Arc de Triomphe we felt as if we were checking something off our bucket list. Enter Hotel Balmoral, a four-star hotel located down a quiet Parisian side street and just a stone’s throw away from the Arc de Triomphe as well as the Champs Elysées. In terms of location, it doesn’t get better than that! During our two-night stay at Hotel Balmoral, we were in the heart of Paris making it easy to explore the most beautiful city in the world. Just outside the lobby doors we walked down the Champs Elysées, home to some of the finest shops in Paris and an easy starting point to make our way around the city. After exploring during the day we fell even more in love with the Arc de Triomphe as it lit up during the night. Arc de Triomphe at night Besides the incredible location, the hotels decor brings to life a classic yet modern look, which has been created by French interior design architect Michel Jouannet. From the Haussman-style building dating back to the 19th century and the unique sculptures located in hallways and lobby, there is an elegance and sophistication that is embodied throughout the entire hotel. As guests, we also saw this elegance and luxury take shape within Hotel Balmoral’s rooms and suites. We were fortunate enough to stay in one of the six suites. Our suite had a bright yet warm atmosphere created by the carefully chosen color scheme, handmade furniture and original paintings. We also loved the porcelain butterfly tea and coffee cups, which were not only used within our room, but also during their delicious breakfast! Our stay at Hotel Balmoral was perfect down to every last detail and we would highly recommend staying here during your next trip to Paris. It’s centrally located and has all the comforts and luxuries you would expect from a four-star hotel located by one of the most famous boulevards in the world. Thank you Hotel Balmoral for hosting us during our stay in the 8th arrondissement! As always, our opinions are our own as we Talk Travel.
